2016 Firemen’s 5K

firemen's 5kWhat are you doing Memorial Day weekend?  We hope it includes plans to participate in the 18th Annual Firemen’s 5K!   The WARM Place is honored to benefit from this wonderful event that was created after Phillip Wayne Dean and Brian William Collins lost their lives fighting a fire at a church in Lake Worth on February 15, 1999.  Every year since then, the families of these two heroes have joined together to help others and create a positive impact from amidst their loss.

This year the race is on Saturday, May 28th and proceeds from the event will benefit The WARM Place,  The Compassionate Friends, and the Firemen’s 5K Scholarship fund.  The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the front of Arborlawn United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.

Online registration is still open if you would like to participate.  This is a family friendly event that is cherished by many- we hope it becomes a part of your Memorial Day tradition like it has for us at The WARM Place!
