We are excited to announce that Alicia Franklin has joined The WARM Place staff as our newest Group Director for Wednesday evenings!
Alicia is a Licensed Masters Social Worker with a background in children and families, grief, education, and trauma. Alicia comes from Fort Worth Independent School District, where she served children and families with high needs and most, at-risk of dropping out. Alicia began her journey with The WARM Place as a child in 1998 after the death of her father. Years later, Alicia began volunteering with TWP, and shortly after became a Group Monitor.
Alicia was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, and is a dedicated dog mom, crafter, and gardener. She is an alumni of the University of Texas at Arlington and loves all things Texas! Alicia is passionate about initiatives dedicated to mental health, trauma, and grief in the minority communities. Alicia will serve as the Group Director of our Wednesday night parent loss groups and is looking forward to joining the staff, meeting the families, and serving the group community!
