Words of Gratitude During Trying Times

November is traditionally the month when we all take some time to reflect and give thanks, and The WARM Place has plenty to be grateful for, even in this unusual and challenging year. We are grateful for the generosity of hundreds of individuals, businesses, and organizations. We are inspired by our community’s commitment to ensure that grieving children are supported through their grief journey and know that they are not alone.

Our WARM Place families share that sense of gratitude – both for the volunteers who carry out this mission and for the donors who make it all possible. As COVID-19 has placed an added strain on these grieving families, they are grateful that they have been able to count on The WARM Place for encouragement, resources, and connection. They have expressed their thanks throughout this time, from drive-thru activity pickups and Family Nights to the recent safe return to in-person groups:

“I just want to send a note to let you know how much my grandson (age 6) appreciated the thoughtful activity bags that we picked up.  These are important reminders that many people truly care about the journey of our children that have lost an important member of their family.”

“The distance activities that have been provided by you and the staff are a great opportunity for me to safely keep my kids interacting and engaged with others and for that I am so thankful!!!”

“Please send our appreciation to the folks that donated their time and goodies… we felt the love in each of the drive through stops.”

“It was good to reconnect. We have needed some type of interaction and look forward to attending more types of activities that will help our family. Thank you.”

“It was so nice to be back. Thank you staff and volunteers for thinking of every detail.”

So on behalf of all 406 children we currently serve, we offer a heartfelt THANKS to all our donors! You are making a lasting difference in these children’s lives.
