2020 was not an easy year, especially for our WARM Place families. All of the changes to our daily lives that came with the COVID-19 pandemic were a lot to say the least. Can you imagine navigating grief on top of that? A lot of our families didn’t have to imagine it…they have been living it.
The WARM Place had to adapt as well. We modified our grief support groups to ensure our families, volunteers, and staff would be safe. We also had to cancel our largest fundraiser, which traditionally makes up 30% of our annual budget. In place of that fundraiser, we asked our community, out of the goodness of their hearts, to help ensure our services remained available. No event, no auction, no gala – just a heartfelt donation to support our families during this time.
We are so fortunate to have a strong community of believers in our mission. YOU made it possible. YOU helped us exceed our goal. YOU helped ensure that no WARM Place child would have to grieve alone, especially during a pandemic. From the bottom of our hearts – thank you.
