On Saturday, April 6th, we held our Volunteer Appreciation event to celebrate The WARM Place volunteers! Our volunteers are the heart of our program and truly real life superheroes, and we wouldn’t be able to provide the grief support we do without them. The superhero theme really demonstrates how much they mean to The WARM Place!
We enjoyed hot coffee and breakfast tacos, a fun photobooth with themed props, and even a caricature artist! This is our first Volunteer Appreciation event after the expansion was completed in October 2023, so we were thrilled to use this new space to celebrate our volunteers. We even had some of our children and families write notes to show how much they appreciate the work our volunteers do for them. Those notes were displayed on the tables for all to read.
Every year we enjoy recognizing those who have hit 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service as a WARM Place volunteer! We are also a certifying organization with The President’s Volunteer Service Awards program. This allows us to celebrate those who reached over 100 hours in 2023!
We are so incredibly lucky to have such sweet souls to help touch and impact the lives of grieving children and families. We love our volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of this amazing group, we have our next volunteer facilitator training coming up at the end of May!
